Seven companies have been recognised for their egalitarian corporate culture at this year's Positive Actions Award in Luxembourg.

The 5th edition of the Positive Actions Award highlighted the merit of companies that have made gender equality the cornerstone of their social policy. Numerous companies, partners and personalities met today, on 28 June 2018, at the Leweck Sporthotel in Lipperscheid to attend the award ceremony held by Equal Opportunities Minister Lydia Mutsch.

The Positive Action Programme has become a real institution in the struggle for a better balance between men and women at all stages of life. It gives companies that are concerned about creating a healthy work environment based on respect for fundamental values, the opportunity to tap into a reservoir of tools necessary to create a culture of equality.

The seven winners of 2018 were: Caceis Bank Luxembourg; Compass Group Luxembourg; Ferber Group; Hôtel Royal; Link Corporate Services; Stëftung Hëllef Doheem; Victor Buck Services.

The 2018 edition of the Positive Actions Award was held to distinguish seven companies from different sectors of the Luxembourg economy for their exemplary commitment to gender equality and transposition of their action plan. As part of the Positive Action programme, a satisfaction survey focused on equal treatment of men and women in different aspects, including work organisation; decision making; the reconciliation of professional and private life. 

The participating company that develops an equality strategy is evaluated and can obtain ministerial approval, financial assistance and recognition/an award from the Ministry of Equal Opportunities. The company will also share the goals it sets for achieving a better balance between men and women within 24 months of obtaining ministerial approval. In addition, any company that participates in Positive Actions undertakes to use the Logib-Lux software which makes it possible to detect possible gender pay inequalities in the company in question.
